Mary’s journey as a coach at Skopos Athletics is a reflection of her lifelong dedication to movement and wellness. With a deep-rooted passion for swimming, she has spent years teaching and coaching in various capacities, including coordinating swim programs, teaching water aerobics and yoga board classes, and coaching Master’s swim groups. Mary’s expertise extends beyond the pool as she trains lifeguards, teaches CPR/AED/First Aid, and works with individuals on rehabilitation and athletic performance through water-based and functional fitness programs.
Her desire to be the best possible instructor led her to pursue certifications in Personal Training and Exercise Therapy, expanding her ability to support others in achieving their goals. Mary’s approach combines her knowledge, enthusiasm, and a heartfelt commitment to helping people uncover their inner strength and potential.
Mary believes that fitness is a gateway to improving every aspect of life. Her philosophy is grounded in the idea that functional fitness can empower individuals to move better, feel stronger, and live more fulfilling lives. She understands that the first step is often the hardest, but it’s also the most important. Mary is passionate about guiding others through their fitness journeys, helping them embrace the physical and emotional growth that comes with consistent effort and connection.
For Mary, coaching is not just about teaching movements; it’s about fostering meaningful relationships and celebrating each person’s unique progress. Whether it’s discovering untapped abilities or overcoming challenges, Mary thrives on the opportunity to support and inspire members every step of the way.
